Market Harborough in Bloom Volunteers (MHiBV) have been selected as representatives for the East Midlands in Bloom ‘Large Town’ category at the 2016 national Britain in Bloom Campaign.
MHibv serve to make Market Harborough visually appealing with floral displays. The group have won the annual award on the past two occasion, meaning that the group is now aiming for three gold awards in a row- 2016 also marks the 20th anniversary of the voluntary group’s formation.
Ken Hook, Market Harborough in Bloom chairman said: “This selection is a reward for all the hard work in previous years and we look forward to the challenge in 2016. It will be a real test but we have a really good team of dedicated volunteers”
Murphy’s taxis were proud to support the ‘Harborough in Bloom’ team this year by driving the judges to all the key locations in the town. It was a real pleasure to help showcase the striking horticultural improvements to the town that had been created by the group. Their work gives the local economy an enormous boost through increased tourism and helps to create a real sense of pride in the town.
